Sacred Profane Priest Erotic Romance Torrance Sené Books Reviews
Okay so.
Sit down, buckle your seat belts, and get ready kids because I am about to drop some knowledge on you.
Do you like attractive men? Do yo like priests? Do you have a religion/blasphemy kink?
THEN YOU NEED THIS ANTHOLOGY RIGHT HERE IN YOUR LIFE.
Prepare yourself for a literary FEAST featuring priests, religion, blasphemy, and erotic scenes.
A lot of times in anthologies there are one or two stories that just aren't as good.... well that is NOT the case here.
Each and every story is full of sexual tension and just enough blasphemy that it straight up will DESTROY YOU. But in the best way possible.
All of these authors came together to create this MASTERPIECE of erotica and priest kink.
I would rate this 13/10. You need to buy this. Because for real, this is top notch. I have read a lot of erotica in my day, and each and every story in this book manages to get your heart racing without killing you with cliches and bad smut.
Do yourself a favor and click the order button.
You won't find many books containing this taboo subject, and you definitely won't find any of this caliber anywhere else.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review
This is, for sure, an intriguing theme for an anthology and one I was very interested to explore. On the whole, I enjoyed it. As with pretty much all anthologies, there were some stories and writing styles that I liked better than others, but that's just a matter of personal taste. The stories I did enjoy were super-hot and super-naughty, and all will no doubt appeal to fans of the taboo. The only downside for me was that perhaps the theme was a little bit too niche, because some of the stories felt quite similar.
This is a REALLY fantastic boxed set!
Know this going in that, yes, the subject matter is controversial and certainly not for everyone. I, personally, have no qualms about the subject matter and was very curious about how the authors would explore this angle of erotic romance.
Every single story in this set is absolutely amazing. The writing is excellent, the editing is meticulous and these stories are packed with so much emotion. I couldn't believe, and wasn't expecting, the amount of love shared among the characters in their respective stories. This isn't just smut; the stories kinda make ya think about, maybe, how far-fetched these scenarios really are...or are they?
Each story is completely different and unique from the others in the set. They are so creative and, in my opinion, did an excellent job of tactfully exploring this latest taboo phenomenon hitting the romance/erotica world!
(I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)
So this is an anthology with 10 different stories,
This is most definitely a taboo subject and not everyone is going to be interested in reading this. However, it is a very good compilation of stories written by some incredible authors.
Each story has it's own story line and characters plus each one is different and you have the opportunity to read stories that teeter on the morale of both men and women in the clergy. NOTEAll characters are of legal age Is it taboo? Yes most definitely TABOO but if that is your thing then this antho is one for you to grab onto and enjoy.
I read every story from every author and I was impressed with ll of them...I will not give away specifics of the stories as it will be your job to grab this and read them for yourself!!
I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book for Rockstar Book Muse
Sacred and Profane
Wow. I have to start off with – I’m not particularly religious and I believe that even men, and women of the cloth to be human and as such, will never escape human needs. I find it disconcerting that we could hold certain people responsible for denying their humanity.
This book consisted of ten stories, each with a different approach/outlook but following the same theme. All men and women are created equal, after a fashion. Each story was well edited and flowed with a great pace.
To review each one in turn would be to give away key plot points but each author is certainly deserving of notice.
In Genuflect, by Sonni de Soto, the author has a distinctive style of writing that incorporates her main character’s reasoning and feelings into action. I have to admit, this is the first book of its kind that I’ve read. It was wonderful.
In The Undoing by Piper Denna, the author unfolds a story that is both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. I could easily see something similar happening in a real-life situation. There is a real-world feel to her characters.
In Temptation Follows by Torrance Sene, the author throws in a bit of impact play. Wow. She didn’t lose the flavor of the plot, just incorporated it a natural way…Yep, a natural way. I would definitely read this writer’s work again.
In Absolution by Charlotte French, the author brings in a bit of the supernatural, again, like the rest, done in a tasteful, flowing story that kept you enthralled.
In Father What-A-Waste by Bronwyn Green, the air crackled with romance between the two main characters. I couldn’t have put the book down during that story even if I’d wanted to.
In Shelter by Leandra Vane, this story was a hoot. You couldn’t have found two more distinct characters on Earth. But the story worked, and in a wonderful way that brought the characters to life.
In Taking Mary Beth by Mira Stanley, the author takes a ride on the wild side, even considering the subject matter. What wonderful characters she created from a real-life type scenario. Another HEA that you wouldn’t expect.
In Succumb to Temptation by Jordan Monroe, the author captures both the infatuation of a young girl and a new priest. Well done.
In Sin Bin by HK Carlton, the author captures the heartbreak of remembered love and flows into a second-chance with a twist I hadn’t seen coming. I’ve read this author’s work before and again, she certainly doesn’t disappoint, but sets the bar rather high for others.
In Down on My Knees by Jillian Boyd, the story, from a female’s religious perspective, provided an interesting insight. Another story that flowed well from taboo into reality.
Each of the stories detailed the mind’s ability to rationalize and come to grips with the character’s humanity in a way that was well written and made for a wonderful read.
The first time I’ve read a religious, taboo, kind of book. It is well worth picking up and reading.
Five stars
Not impressed with the writing.
I enjoyed some stories more than others but overall it's a hot, dirty, erotic, profane and steamy tales.
It was also a great introduction to new and talented Authors for me to follow.
